I tend to approach the future a little too linearly.

What exactly does this mean?

Life is filled with projects, tasks, responsibilities, the list goes on and on.

In an ideal world, we would be able to cross each one off the list before moving onto the next.

In case you couldn't tell, we don't live in that world. Most of us don't have the luxury of time, which means, we need to focus on multiple things at once.

For me, this means balancing my writing, freelance work, and now looking for a full-time gig, all while taking care of things in my personal life. This isn't always the easiest for me considering I'm pretty one-track minded.

Breaking this linear approach means exploring more than one opportunity at a time.

There's nothing wrong with hedging your bets and putting yourself in the best possible position to succeed.

After all, no one else will do it for you.
